You have a rack of letters in front of you and one question: what actually plays? Drop those letters into the box and you get every English word they can form, longest first, so you can scan the top of the list for the strongest plays and work your way down. A minimum-length filter keeps the list tight for the moments when two-letter words are of little use to you. Try PLANETS and STAPLE, PASTEL, PLEATS and PALEST show up near the top, with PLANE, PANEL and SLANT close behind. Try SPARKLE and you get PEARL, SPEAK, LAKES and PARKS. The engine reads the same dictionary as the word unscrambler on wordling, so the coverage is identical; this page simply starts where you already are, with a fixed handful of letters and a puzzle waiting. Results appear as you type, in your browser, on phone or desktop.

Common questions

What words can I make with these letters?

Type your letters into the field and the full list appears immediately, grouped by word length. A six-letter set usually yields somewhere between twenty and eighty words, depending on how many vowels you are holding. Letter sets rich in vowels and common consonants like R, S and T tend to produce the longest lists.

Can I look for words of one specific length?

Yes. Set the minimum length to the number you need and everything shorter disappears from the list. Since the results are grouped by length anyway, you can then jump straight to the block you want, for instance all the five-letter words your letters allow.

What if I have a blank or wildcard tile?

Substitute the letter you are considering and run the search again. Trying the high-frequency letters first, so E, A, R, S and T, will usually reveal the most useful options, and comparing two or three runs shows you which substitution opens up the longest word.

Does the order of my letters matter?

Not at all. The tool reads your input as a pool of letters, so ACRET, TRACE and CATER return exactly the same result set. Type them in whatever order they happen to sit on your rack.
